Gemma Arterton – British Academy Children’s Film & Television Awards
Posted on December 2, 2008 18:52Another new face for Celeb O Rama. This time the new bond girl Gemma Arterton who played the lovely red haired Strawberry Fields in Quantum Of Solace.
I saw Quantum recently & while it was quite a good film for action, excitement and what not, the actual film lacked a real plot. I actually struggled to follow what the film was supposed to be about, I know now, but only after a long while thinking about it. I’d recommend it for a quiet saturday night when you fancy an all out action blockbuster, but if you’re looking for the normal James Bond plot that keeps you hooked until the end you won’t find it here. Unfortunately.

I haven’t seen a Bond film ever since I’ve seen other episodes than the first three films. The last of the three made my cry (not literally) because it was already getting sucky. I assume, by seeing trailers and hearing people talking about the film, that it will ever be a cool film.
Judging on the gay-looking Bond and his “girls” I’m not really missing something.

The film it’self is quite good. It’s just the fact that there’s no story line there for you to sink your teeth into. I quite liked the Bond films with Pierce Brosnan in them, they were the best recent bond films. The classics are still the best though.
